This page takes you from zero to a resume you can send out, in about 3 minutes. No account, no configuration.
You only need one thing: open Magic Resume. For the official hosted version, go to magic-resume.cn; if you or a colleague self-hosted it, use that address.
1

Create a resume

After the app opens you’ll land on the dashboard (Resumes — the first item in the left sidebar). Click the Create a new resume card, type a name (e.g. “Jane-Frontend-2026”), and click Create.
The name is just for you and you can change it anytime (click Rename on the resume card).
2

Fill in your content

You’re now in the editor. The form is on the left, a live preview on the right — every edit on the left updates the right instantly.Start with Basics (name, contact), then work down through Experience, Education, Projects, Skills, and so on. Don’t want to type it all? The next page shows how to import an existing PDF/JSON, or you can let AI write it for you.
3

Pick a nice template

Open the Template panel in the editor, choose one you like, and click Change template to apply it. To tweak fonts, colors, or single/two-column layout, click Customize Template.
Changing templates never touches your content — only the look. Try them freely.
4

Export a PDF

When you’re happy, click the export button to generate and download a PDF. ⚠️ To verify visually: the export button is usually at the top-right of the editor (near the preview). On success you’ll see “Resume exported successfully”.Done! That PDF is ready to send.
