# Tailor to a job

> Paste a target JD, company, and role, and let AI reshape your resume to fit — every change proposed first and rejectable.

The same resume performs very differently across jobs. **Tailor to a job** has AI read your target role, then propose changes to make the resume fit better.

## How to use it

<Steps>
  <Step title="Say your intent">
    In [AI Lab](/en/guide/ai-lab), say **"Help me tailor my resume to a target job"** (or click that suggestion).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Provide the target">
    It asks you for:

    * **Target JD** (paste the full job requirements — the more complete the better)
    * **Company**
    * **Role**

    The JD matters most — AI uses it to decide which of your experiences to surface and which keywords to add.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review changes one by one">
    AI marks suggested changes on the **Live canvas** (rewording, re-prioritizing, adding keywords). Each shows a **reason**. You can:

    * **Apply to resume**: accept the change.
    * Skip it: don't accept.

    The top shows **"N changes pending"** — work through them.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Paste the JD's **hard requirements and frequent terms** in full. Many resume screeners (ATS) filter by keyword, and AI naturally surfaces your matching experience — but it won't invent experience you don't have.
</Tip>

<Warning>
  AI only **proposes**, never changes things behind your back. See a change you don't like? Just skip it — you always own the final version.
</Warning>
